2020 in Los Angeles: A Look Back At The Pandemic Year

2021 is still very much unhinged but we persist. Last year really made me appreciate my city so much. As most transplants fled the city to go back to wherever they thought they were too good for, Angelenos fought for each other and celebrated together. My bubble got smaller and smaller as the pandemic got worse, but I feel much more closer to my friends and to my family more than I ever have before. Including those I rarely see. Bonding time whether done face to face, via FaceTime, text messages or dm exchanges have moved up in quality rather than quantity.

Disclaimer: My friends and I take COVID tests before and after each gathering (this is no longer a safe indicator btw). 6ft distance was maintained in public outings featured here where there are other people with or without a mask. Most of the footage in this video was taken at the beginning of the year and we have all reduced our bubbles since.
