Mask On, Mask Off

Sometimes when I look at pictures of myself in public spaces taken in the last few months, I feel a sense of ickiness when I don’t have my mask on (and I do this a lot). I have been so stubborn about it. I’ve gotten better and only take my mask off when I see my family or take quick photos.

I came to realize it’s such a privilege to have the option to go sans mask. COVID-19 is really scary. It’s like a silent killer, much like America I guess. But it’s not about you, it’s about not spreading it because COVID-19 can be asymptomatic.

A few friends and I are trying to be responsible adults and are getting tested for COVID before a trip. When my friend invited me and mentioned that, I thought “yesss, normalize getting tested!!” Scheduling mine online, if you are also from Los Angeles, you can set an appointment here or here.
